We are seeking a Project Administrator specialist to work for our client in their IM Regional Support department, who is a Tier 1 mining house located in their Brisbane CBD Head Office. The position offers an immediate start in an ongoing capacity with potential of permanency for the right candidate.
 
The purpose of Global Information Management (IM) is to enable the delivery of business processes, communication, collaboration and knowledge management through the deployment, support and maintenance of enterprise technology, infrastructure, applications and mine technical systems.
 
This position plays a pivotal role in providing administrative assistance to the APAC IM team in an effective, timely and professional manner. Reporting to Mining Technical Systems Specialist, this role will see you perform the building and running of opencast and underground Metallurgical Coal application systems.
 
Duties to Include:
  • Provide an objective overview of project progress and report accordingly;
  • Support the Project Manager and project team in areas of risk and issue management, reporting and co-ordination;
  • Monthly financial reporting;
  • Ensuring spend is within budget;
  • Managing accruals;
  • Document controlling of Engineering documents;
  • Assisting with Capital orders and vendor management;
  • Filing and storage of documentation;
  • Arranging travel, visas, accommodation etc
Hiring criteria: 
  • Significant experience in Project and/or Finance administration;
  • Prior experience in a relevant IM role is highly desirable;
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to analyse and prioritise;
  • Ability to learn new systems;
  • Excellent Microsoft Suite computer skills;
  • Ability to Chair internal and external customer meetings;
  • Good written and verbal written skills;
  • Due to working across multiple time zones, flexibility to participate in out of hours phone meetings;
