On behalf of our client we are recruiting for an Emergency Services Officer, responsible for assisting the Superintendent of EMS & Security to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of emergency response and security service to site.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Conduct investigations, take witness statements, prepare reports and provide evidence whilst ensuring confidentiality of information and protecting business interests.
Supervise, coordinate and deliver a qualified emergency response service.
Assist the site Paramedic with management of injuries
Deliver appropriate emergency response training to build individual and workforce capability.
Develop, review and implement procedures for training personnel ensuring their full understanding and compliance.
Assist in the development and maintenance of appropriate accurate information systems that capture relevant emergency response activity capable of identifying key performance indicators and trends.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment and Certificate II in Security Operations
Certificate IV in Health Care qualification and Authorised FFW Tester
Development & delivery of Emergency Response and Security training
Experience in either Policing, Armed Services, Fire & Rescue, Ambulance or similar Emergency Service and/or extensive experience in Underground Mine Rescue
Competence in all aspects of mine site Emergency Response including but not limited to Closed Circuit Regenerative Breathing Apparatus, Open Circuit Breathing Apparatus, Fire suppression, Hazmat, Rope Rescue, Vehicle extrication, Confined space Rescue, Road Crash Rescue
Valid MR/HR driver’s Licence
Valid WA Drivers License
Police Clearance within 6 months

This role is offered on a 4 days on, 4 nights on, 4 days off roster
Residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie
